Some of you have wondered why I didn’t share the two latest Joshi Luck releases on Hentairules: I have answered I was deliberately waiting for high resolution scans to come, instead of the low-res “digital” versions that were used in the latest scanlations. You see, I’ve got an angry grip with this “digital version” expression: the Japanese hentai market has “agreed” for a crazy stupid standard for digital releases, images no higher than 1500 px. What a silly waste of an opportunity! Seriously, in 2017, make the standard for the future a measly 1500 px vertical resolution? That size was already obsolete fifteen years ago!
Putting Joshi Luck into that context.
The last I shared of this series has been the chapters 0-1-2, in which the chapters 0-1 were in high resolution magazine scans (thanks to Mikocon.com), and the chapter 2 was in disappointing 1500 px low resolution “digital” version. I decided to halt sharing this until a higher version came out.

Source: the tank has been published. A kind person called Salar scanned it for CellTF, and, with Axalon, MrWayne, CynicW, DarkMac, DerEX, they re-scanlated the sad chapter 2 into high resolution tank scans, thank you so much! ![:kickass:]()
To avoid any misunderstandings, the difference for the chapter 2 are (1) the few bonus images, (2) the resolution, and (3) a different scanlation team. Maybe it won’t mean much for you, hey, to each his own. But, damn, in my eyes, it means a lot! And now we know the releases in good quality will follow not too long from now, first the remaining of the volume (2 more chapters) and then a reedit of the chapters 0-1 ![:)]()
One last note: still, it’s true, there had been releases of the rest of the chapters of Joshi Luck, in digital versions.
And I still chose not to share it.
Not only because I’m a lazy ass, and I knew the high res version would come eventually, so I had better wait until that day came.
It’s also for another reason: this is another team that scanlated the rest of the digital versions… And, looking at their past releases, I deem them less skilled and competent than CellTF’s team.. I don’t want to start a war, I’m merely expressing an opinion, that if you care for quality, it was also in the best interest of the visitors of Hentairules to make you guys wait until CellTF was back.
